Flight of the Seagulls

My fascination with birds both as an owner and in the wild started in childhood and continues today.

One afternoon I was walking with my son on Newport Beach in California with the waves crashing in on my feet, powerful gusts of wind were blowing hard, the sunlight gave iridescence to beads of water as they were flying in the air when suddenly Seagulls were everywhere. They were flying in towards my face and landing so close…their white bodies against the blue sky was beautiful but the intensity of the action was overwhelming, it captured a “real moment” for me. The power and magic of flight!
